What can I make with a Cricut Explore Air 2?

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Cricut. The opinions and text are all mine.

What can you make with a Cricut Explore Air 2? This question is not easily answered! You can literally make ALL the crafty things you can think up!

Before I start explaining what crafty things you can make with your Explore Air 2, let me tell you my Cricut story.

In 2017, I was working full-time and going to Grad School full-time to receive my Master's in Social Work. Previously, I was introduced to the Cricut world by a colleague of mine while working at a school in Illinois. In 2017, my youngest was going to turn one. I wanted to create most of the decor for her birthday party. Well, I was visiting my parents one Sunday and my mom was in the dining room with an array of paper and watching paper flower tutorials on YouTube. That's when I started my crafting journey. I bought my first Cricut Explore Air 2 in July of 2017. Since then, I have purchased two Cricut Makers to add to my collection of Cricut machines. I will always have a special love for my Explore Air 2 as that was the FIRST Cricut that I started with.

Enough about my story - I would love to hear yours! Let me know in the comments below or share them with me over in my social media.

Let's start with what YOU can make with an Explore Air 2. I focus my cricut crafts on adhesive vinyl, iron-on vinyl, paper crafts such as paper banners and of course my favorite, paper flowers.

5 THINGS TO MAKE WITH A CRICUT EXPLORE AIR 2

PAPER FLOWERS

The first thing that I made with my Cricut Explore Air 2 were paper flowers. Cricut Design Space offers a variety of paper flower designs. This is how I started making mini paper flowers. I enjoy making large paper flowers too and you are able to make your own paper flower design using the basic shapes on Design Space.

FLOWER FELT HEADBAND

At one point, I was a bit obsessed with making my own felt flower headband for my little one. You can use the regular fine-point blade to cut Cricut's felt. I am not too sure how it will turn out if you use off brand felt but I strongly recommend using Cricut's felt. I personally love the feel of Cricut's felt. As you can see in the picture below, the Explore Air 2 can easily cut felt and the cut is so precise! Have you cut felt with your Explore Air 2 before?

LEATHER EARRINGS

If you follow me on social media, you should know that recently I have been making my own earrings. I had made similar earrings with my Cricut Maker but I also wanted to make some with my Explore Air 2. Since Cricut's release of the foil transfer tool, I wanted to make a pair of cute faux leather earrings with foil on them! I thought they were perfect for an everyday look. And guess what? Cricut also offers faux leather!

CAKE TOPPERS

What can't you personalize with the Cricut Explore Air 2? I love personalizing EVERYTHING especially for birthday parties. I wanted to make my youngest a cake topper with her favorite Disney character. For this specific project, I made my own designs and uploaded it to Cricut Design Space. The upload process is pretty simple which makes it easy to explore your creativity even further.

STENCILS

Have you ever worked with stencils? I was intimidated by stencils for the longest time. I thought that they were going to be very challenging. However, I was so wrong! You can make a variety of stencils but my favorite is making stencils for my wood signs. As you already know, I love making paper flowers so I needed to make my own sign for my craft room.

DOG BANDANAS

Since I have two pups, I love to personalize everything for them too! So why not make some dog bandanas? This project required a little bit of sewing but you can totally make it without sewing! Once you have your bandana, all you need is some iron-on to place on your bandana. By now, you should know that I love personalizing pretty much everything I can get my hands on. It makes it easier with the Cricut Explore Air 2.

P.S. There are two pictures of my fur babies. They are the cutest. Scroll down to see!

Stay Crafty,

Cristina
