I have been wanting to share how to make this beautiful paper flower center and now is the time to do so!
MATERIALS
You will need the following materials to get started!
Cricut Maker
65lb Cardstock (8-9 sheets of cardstock)
Hot Glue Gun
Hot Glue Sticks
PREPARATION
Let's start with opening our Cricut Maker and start cutting the cardstock that we need! You will need 8-9 sheets of cardstock to create this spiral paper flower center. It really depends on how big you want the center to be, for the spiral part of the paper flower, you will only need 2 to 3 pieces of paper. Let's get started!
Open Design Space and search for the keyword "marigold." It will the first image that comes up in design space.
Once you have selected the image, click on insert image. You will see that it is now on your canvas. You will notice that there is a set of leaves and the marigold image. You only need the marigold image. Click on ungroup and get rid of the leaves from your canvas. Now, you should have the marigold image all on its' own.
Duplicate the marigold image. You should have two now on your canvas. Just like the picture below.
We are almost there! Now, we have to change the width and the height of the image. Each marigold image will have different size dimensions. One will be for the center and the other one will be the spiral that goes around the center. You will see what I mean soon!
The first marigold image will need to be changed to the following:
WIDTH: 10.665. HEIGHT: 6.101
The second one will need to be changed to the following:
WIDTH: 10.665 HEIGHT: 7.885
It's time to CUT the marigold image! For the smallest image, you will need 6 of them and for the second image, you will need 2 to 3. Again, it depends on how big you want your center and how much spiral you want it to have.
Place 65lb card stock on StandardGrip mat. Start cutting!
